MY NCBI
I’ve heard that it’s possible to set it up so that I’ll receive an email from Pub Med when any new articles are published that fit my search criteria. How is this done?
Yes, this is possible. In order for this to work you have to sign up for what is called MY NCBI. Once you register, read the instructions on how to save your search criteria and receive the email updates. To sign up for MY NCBI, click first on MY NCBI on the top right of the Pub Med home page:
Then click on My NCBI HELP and everything will be explained.

What if I want to learn more about how to use Pub Med?
Pub Med offers an instructional video on its web site. So, if you decide that you want to become an expert on using Pub Med, I suggest you go through the online tutorial.
Knowing how to use Pub Med gives you the power to instantly search the medical literature. You can come home from an appointment with your doctor and, within a short period of time, access the latest medical research.
