SAMPLE SEARCH BREAST CANCER CLINICAL TRIALS
Let’s do a sample search. We’ll search for all treatment trials for a patient with breast cancer, stage 2, located in New York City.
As you can see I have selected breast cancer from the drop down list. Actually, I have selected breast cancer female as that is the way the list is written.
In addition, I have selected stage 2 disease in the next box, treatment type trials in the next box, and New York in the box that allows you to limit your search by city.
At this point I leave all the other choices in the advanced search to their default value:

After filling in these boxes, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on Search.
This is the list of trials that were retrieved on the day that this search was done:
There are a total of 9 trials listed. The first 2 can be seen in the snapshot above.
This initial screen gives you some basic information such as the title of the trial, the phase of the trial, the type of trial, the status (active means the trial is ongoing and still recruiting patients), the sponsor, and the protocol IDs.
If you want more information on the trial then click on the title. Before you do, I suggest you initially switch the version from health professional to patient in the box near the top in the center. The patient version is easier to understand.

To illustrate, I’ve clicked on the first study. Let’s review the information by sections:

The first section contains the title, alternate title, and basic information.
