How I’ve Structured The Book

Basically, I've tried to structure the book as though you were my patient and had made an appointment to see me in my office to discuss researching cancer treatment on the internet. And, although medical appointments usually take minutes not hours, let's assume that I'm taking the time to take you through this online cancer research leisurely and thoroughly.

It seems to me that many people today are comfortable researching

topics other than medicine. Most people have done

research, for example, when buying cars or stereo equipment.

The process is similar here.

Chapters 3 and 4 are basic introductions to cancer types,

cancer staging, cancer statistics, and cancer treatments.

If you would like to get right into researching cancer treatments on the internet then feel free to skip directly to chapter 5.

Let’s begin by envisioning that a patient has walked into my office. I'll present the following conversation as though it actually took place. And, at the end of each chapter that teaches you how to search a specific web site, you’ll be able to watch a video tutorial of me searching that same site.
